Where does the button appear?

Inside the SP Page Builder editor, in the page-settings row that holds the page Title field, next to SP Page Builder's own Frontend Editor button. It is administrator-only, and appears in the front-end editor only if you turn that setting on.

Which AI provider does it use?

Whatever you have configured under SP Page Builder, Editor, Settings, Generative AI. OpenAI Chat Completions (gpt-*) and Google Gemini (gemini-*) are both supported. The plugin never stores its own API key.

Does it overwrite my current page?

Only after you press Apply to page on the preview. In Replace mode it saves your previous content to SP Page Builder's Version History first, so a generation is always one click from undo. Append mode does not touch existing content.

Can I plan the page before it is built?

Yes. Plan sections first gives you an editable outline, then builds each section with its own request.

Can it copy the layout of a design I like?

Attach a screenshot or mockup and it builds the same section order and look with original copy. It needs a model that can read images.

Can I stop editors running up a bill?

Yes. Set a daily limit per user and for the whole site in the plugin settings.

What if the model returns something broken?

Every response is validated and repaired before it is saved. If it still is not a usable layout, nothing is written and you get a clear error.

Which models work best?

GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 or Gemini 2.5 Pro. Small models such as gpt-3.5-turbo usually return invalid layouts; the plugin warns when a weak model is configured.

Does my content leave the server?

Your prompt and the bundled layout guide are sent to the provider you configured. Depending on what you use, so are the current section or page JSON (Regenerate, Improve, Translate, Show 3 options), your business profile, page titles and URLs for real links, or a screenshot. Nothing else is transmitted.

Which Joomla and SP Page Builder versions are supported?

Joomla 4, 5 and 6 on PHP 8.1 to 8.4, with SP Page Builder 6 (Free or Pro). The design knowledge is verified against SP Page Builder 6.10.0, and the Generate window tells you when yours is newer.

Can I undo a generation?

Yes. Open SP Page Builder's Version History and restore the "Before AI generation" snapshot the plugin created.

Does the Dynamic Content set flow create menu items?

No. SP Page Builder's own new-page flow does not either. After it runs, add a menu item pointing at the collection so the pages open on the site.
