How Add-on Prices Are Charged

Each priced choice is charged as its own line in EasyStore's cart, under a hidden product the add-on makes for it. EasyStore then treats it like any product.

How a price is charged

• A ticked checkbox, a filled-in text field or a chosen option with a price adds a line such as Gift wrap or Box: Large.
• Prices are charged once per piece of the product: two pieces with gift wrap add two gift wraps.
• A price of 0 adds no line; the choice is still listed under the product.
• Prices are set in the shop's main currency.

Tax, coupons and categories

An add-on line takes the product's category and tax setting, so EasyStore's tax rules and category coupons treat the product and its add-ons alike.

The hidden add-on products

They are unpublished: the shop never lists them and their page cannot be opened. You will see them in EasyStore's product list in the administrator, marked unpublished. Leave them there; past orders show their lines. When you change a price in the settings, the hidden product follows it.
