Required Fields and Checks

The product page helps the buyer, and the server makes sure nothing is sold without its choices.

On the product page

When the buyer presses Add to cart (or Buy now), a required field left empty, a text that is too long or a number out of range stops the add. A message appears next to the field and a line above the button says to check the options.

On the server

• Every choice is checked again when the product reaches the cart. Prices come from your settings, never from the browser.
• A product with a required add-on is refused without it, with a message the buyer can read.
• At checkout, a product that needs its add-ons and has none is refused: the buyer is asked to remove it and add it again from its product page.
• Typed text is stored as plain text, without HTML.
