Custom rules

Custom rules add house checks to every scan. Each rule has a selector, a condition, a message, a severity and an optional WCAG reference.
Selectors
A deliberately small safe subset: tag, .class, #id, [attr], [attr="value"], descendant (space) and child (>).
Conditions
- the element is present
- no element matches
- the attribute is missing
- the attribute is empty
- the element has no text
Limits
- Free runs the first 3 enabled rules. The limit is enforced when the scan runs, not just in the form.
- Pro is unlimited and adds JSON import and export for agencies.
Findings appear as custom.your-identifier. They are advisory evidence for your team.
