How a scan works
- Discover. Pages are found from your published Joomla menu items and by following internal links, within the scope and page limit you set.
- Fetch. Each URL is requested from your own server, rate-limited, with a per-request timeout you control. A browser-triggered scan also has an overall wall-clock budget (about 40 seconds) and returns a partial result if it is reached; a CLI scan has no such cap.
- Check. The returned HTML is parsed and run through the accessibility checks. With a Pro licence, the tracker-presence privacy check also runs.
- Score & store. Findings are grouped by WCAG success criterion and by page, a conformance score is calculated, and the run is saved so you can see the trend.
- Report. View on screen, print, or export JSON / CSV. Regenerate your Accessibility Statement from the latest run.
Nothing is auto-fixed. You review every finding and fix it in Joomla yourself — the tool tells you which criterion failed, on which page, and how to correct it.
