Entire Site Rule, Access & Language

Where to find it

On the item, the Display rules tab.

The Entire site rule

Click Add display rule and choose Entire site. The item then shows on every page. Without any rule the item shows nowhere, so add this one to go live.

Access and language

In the Publishing box:

• Access: the item shows only to visitors whose Joomla view level includes it. An item set to Registered is not shown to guests.
• Language: the item shows only on that site language. All shows it everywhere.

Several items

When more than one published item of the same type matches a page, the first in list order is used (items created earlier come first). In Pro the most specific item wins, see Include, Exclude & Priority.

Menu item, category, language and user group rules are a Pro feature. In the Free edition the Display rules tab shows a Pro banner and offers only the Entire site rule.
