Placement
Module Position & Setup Wizard
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Edition: Free (also in Pro)
When to use it
Most sites do not need this: Theme Takeover already shows your header and footer. Use a module position only when you want a header or footer in a specific spot of the Helix layout.
Where to find it
Components > Header Footer Builder > Setup Wizard.
How to use it
- Detected environment shows whether Helix and SP Page Builder were found, how many SP Page Builder pages exist, the layout positions detected in your Helix layout, and any JHFB modules already published.
- Under Publish pick, for the header and for the footer, either Automatic (match by display rules) or one specific item.
- Type the module position for each. Suggestions come from your Helix layout.
- Tick the consent box and click Apply.
The wizard only publishes JHFB module rows. It never changes your template's settings.
Undo
Roll back last apply unpublishes the modules created by the last run.
The module
You can also add the JHFB Header/Footer module yourself in Content > Site Modules: choose the Scope (Header or Footer), the Item id (0 = auto-match) and the Fallback, which leaves your theme in charge when nothing matches.
