My header or footer does not appear
- Is the item Published and does it have a Display rules entry? An item with no rule shows nowhere. Add Entire site.
- Is the item's Access and Language right for the visitor you are testing with?
- Does it have a design? The Health Check lists items without one, or whose page was deleted. Click Design with SP Page Builder.
- Is the kill switch on, or the System - JHFB plugin disabled?
- Are you seeing a cached page? Changing an item clears Joomla's page cache, but a CDN or browser cache can still hold an old page.
The theme's header still shows
Open the Health Check. If Recent errors says Theme Takeover could not find the header or footer, your theme does not use the standard Helix sp-header or sp-footer element on that page. Place the item at a module position instead, see Module Position & Setup Wizard.
It shows twice
A JHFB module is showing the same header or footer. Theme Takeover skips a scope a module already shows, so check whether another module, or a module of another type, outputs your design too.
The header looks unstyled
Open the item and check that the design page is published. Designs are drawn with SP Page Builder's own styles, so the page builder must be installed and enabled.
A Pro feature is missing
- A Pro banner means Pro is not installed, or its license is not active. Open Settings > License.
- The Pro addons are not listed in the page builder: see Addons & SP Page Builder Updates.
Getting more detail
Switch on Debug logging in the System - JHFB plugin and read administrator/logs/jhfbuilder.php.
