Installing Joomla Header Footer Builder

Install the package

  1. In the Joomla administrator open System > Install > Extensions.
  2. Upload the Free package (pkg_jhfbuilder_free) and install it.
  3. Open Components > Header Footer Builder.

What gets installed

  • Header Footer Builder (component): the items list, the item editor, the Dashboard, the Setup Wizard, the Health Check and Settings.
  • System - JHFB (plugin): matches the right header and footer to each page and places them on your site. It is enabled automatically.
  • JHFB Header/Footer (module): only needed if you place a header or footer at a module position instead of using Theme Takeover.

Check it worked

Open Health Check. System plugin, Helix framework, SP Page Builder and Theme Takeover should all show OK. If a row shows a warning, its detail line says what to fix.

Joomla installs new plugins disabled. The package enables System - JHFB for you. If you ever see "System plugin present" failing, check System > Manage > Plugins and enable it.
